On the bright side, I still have my wallet and I don't have to go get a new drivers license. And on Trav's bright side...we canceled my credit and debit cards before we realized they were still in the car and now his spend-happy wife can't go crazy buying Christmas gifts.

We're not in Kansas anymore...
I tend to learn things the hard way. This week the lesson was "don't leave your purse in your car--you naive, small-town girl". Leaving things like shoes and purses in your car is just like asking to be robbed. I was so asking for it...

We got a phone call from the police department at 2:30 in the morning asking us to meet the sheriff down stairs because our car had been broken into. My purse and running shoes were gone. So sad. I loved those shoes. Funny thing is...my wallet, with all my credit cards and money, had been left behind. The thief must have been in a hurry because a bunch of stuff fell out of my purse. So he didn't get away with much. What an idiot. He might as well have stolen $350 though....that's how much it's costing us to fix the damage.

Oh no! what a world we live in huh? I am glad to here that all of the important stuff is safe, and most of all im glad you are too! hope things start to look up soon;) LOVES!
Hey Malea! Found your blog from Karen's. But I was totally shocked to see this post...the same thing happened to us two weeks ago! Except they got all our cards, my license, etc. The bizarre thing? It happened to me in Cedar! I used to leave my purse in the car all the time when we lived in SLC. So, i guess we're not safe anywhere:( Sorry to hear about the cost and everything though...
Malea!! I'm so sorry... I work with a bunch of people from Salt Lake and they say that cars get broken into all the time up there. :( Sorry it had to be yours darling!
It makes you so mad when dumb people do dumb things. In Vegas there is a gang that goes around breaking car windows, they dont steal anything but just break the windows. My uncle just fell victim to their crime and it does make you mad, especially this time of year when the money comes out of your Christmas fund.:(
Malea! So sorry to read about your car. Found your blog from Chelo's. Hope all is well with you. If possible I need a photo of your cake. Elyse needs to look at some cakes I have done.
Also, Megan wants to keep in touch with you. Look her up on facebook.
Love ya, Tawnia
