We're not in Kansas anymore...

I tend to learn things the hard way. This week the lesson was "don't leave your purse in your car--you naive, small-town girl". Leaving things like shoes and purses in your car is just like asking to be robbed. I was so asking for it...We got a phone call from the police department at 2:30 in the morning asking us to meet the sheriff down stairs because our car had been broken into. My purse and running shoes were gone. So sad. I loved those shoes. Funny thing is...my wallet, with all my credit cards and money, had been left behind. The thief must have been in a hurry because a bunch of stuff fell out of my purse. So he didn't get away with much. What an idiot. He might as well have stolen $350 though....that's how much it's costing us to fix the damage.

On the bright side, I still have my wallet and I don't have to go get a new drivers license. And on Trav's bright side...we canceled my credit and debit cards before we realized they were still in the car and now his spend-happy wife can't go crazy buying Christmas gifts.
