Sparkle Shoes

I would have to say that one of the funnest things about watching Miss K grow is to see her little personality come out. It shows itself in the simplest ways. Like when she cries during Curious George The Movie because George gets lost. Or when she see's a disgruntled look on my face as asks, "You happy mom?" then promptly says, "I fix it" and swipes the bangs from my forehead if I don't answer with a yes.   She is decisive and demanding. Which I'm not quite sure if I can credit to personality or if she simply needs a sibling, but none-the-less, watch out when she doesn't get her way! It. Is. Drama.

Like most mother's, I pick my battles. When it counts I stand my ground, but sometimes I like to just sit back and enjoy the ride. The Sparkle Shoes is one those battles I figured I could forfeit, and I have definitely been enjoying the ride....

(The gold shoes got a turn once...)

(No, her hair is not wet. That's a story in its self. Let's just say Vasaline is not easy to wash out of hair!)

I let her fall asleep, then check on her later to take a picture and take them off. I learned quickly that I can't put them away without her waking later in the night yelling "Mom! Where's my sparkle shoes?!" So now I set them in the corner for her to find. In the morning I can hear her throw them out of the crib (Thud Thud) then climb herself out (Thud) and a few seconds later she is wearing them in my room, asking for a drink of milk. It is routine I have come to quite enjoy.

Cutest ever! Reminds me totally of my Rylee! Drama is also her middle name! But sometimes it gives us a good laugh!
