Mickey Mouse Pancakes

I had a thought today that made me more excited to get our little one here than anything else I've been looking forward to; more that the bows and cute outfits and even more than being able to sleep on my stomach again.....I can't wait to make her Mickey Mouse pancakes!!!

My mom is the master pancake artist. I remember eating "bunnies", "M's" and even "Planes" for breakfast. My favorite though was when she made Mickey Mouse Pancakes. There's just something about a pancake in the shape of a cartoon rodent that makes it so darn tasty.
When look back on my childhood, the fondest memories with my Mom involve the simple ways she would spend time with us. Those are the kind of memories I hope to build with my family and those are the kinds of moments that make me so excited about becoming a mother myself.

So Mom, thank you for the Mickey Mouse pancakes, for swing dancing with me in the backyard, for taking me to school in the morning "just because" and for all of the other little things you've done to show me you care. I love you too :)

Now that I've got that emotional reminiscing off my chest (thank you for bearing with me by-the-way) here's an update in the pregnancy realm...

Pretty much things are good. Only 6 more weeks to go!! I haven't hit the "get-this-over-with wall" but sometimes I feel it fast approaching (like tonight when my belly button reached it's peak--it officially can not go out any further and it looks like a finger). Thank the heavens for a husband who finds all my weird bodily changes humorous. He definitely helps me keep things in perspective.

If you haven't already been in on the debate, we are down to two names--Tabitha and Kennedy. And according to Travis she is going to be a golf star. The crib is all set up (pictures to come!) and I've folded and unfolded her little jammies about a dozen times. Now all we need is a little body to put in them! YAY!

Wow, it's late. Time for bed! I guess I need to go brush my teeth and build my pillow fort....

Yay! you are so close! This is such a cute post, we love making Mickey Mouse pancakes too! in fact Grant demands that I make them at least once a week:) I love both names Tabitha is such an elegant name and Kennedy is such a strong pretty feminine name (I love those) that is why I chose Evyn. Can't wait for th final count down!
